Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day. "Flowers For Mother" was created on a 4X6 canvas. The canvas was painted in butter yellow before a piece of torn paper was added to the bottom. Additional colors of acrylic along with colored pencil and dry oil pastels were rubbed in. A doily was used as a stencil to give a little more background interest. The gold wings were lightly sanded and a bit of copper paint was rubbed into the crevices. I used colored pencils to color the flowers and sash in this sepia tone image. Computer-generated words, glitter and a button complete the piece. Foil wings, button and image are all from Rock Candy Studios. The image is from Rock Candy's soon-to-be released image CD "Girly Girls".
