Stamp Club Fun

Clarissa and I had a great time with our stamp club friends on Sunday. We experimented with a few techniques from Collage Unleashed by Traci Bautista. This is a piece of painted fabric that Clarissa did. The next step will be to add stamps and stitching to it. This is a paper towel that Clarissa brayered over the above fabric with. Tonight she will use this for a school project by printing a verse using the printer and then decorating the edges with stamps and ? The project is worth an extra 10 points and has to be creative. I say printing on a paper towel is pretty creative!
This piece is heavy weight muslin and is the beginning of a journal cover. It is very basic now but has great potential with the addition of images, stamping and doodles. I can't wait to see what Clarissa comes up with. If you get a chance to look at the book or the DVD by Traci, I'd highly recommend it. Our stuff looks very elementary compared to Traci's work but we're at step #1..maybe! I can't wait to start adding embellishment and stitches. Later...
