Sunday Postcard Art - Fish

For this week's theme of "Fish" at Sunday Postcard Art, I altered a 4X6 card using gesso to cover most of the original print.  I chalked the background and used a stencil to add clouds.  The fish and woman stamps are from Artistic Outpost and the trees are from Heartfelt Impressions.  A bit of Pitt ink was used to soften the edges of the grass and a few dots of red acrylic give the impression of flowers.

The Three Muses Challenge

Today's challenge at The Three Muses is "Give Us A Hand".  My 'hand' is not new but something I did a while ago.  The hand has a wooden pendant featuring an Oxford Impressions image and paper beads displayed on it.

"Botanica" is the theme over at Sunday Postcard Art today.  The base is an old dictionary page and the butterflies are from a magazine.  Fun theme!

Glamour Girls - Sunday Postcard Art

The challenge at Sunday Postcard Art this week is "glamour girls". My glamour girl is a bit young and just beginning her journey into the world of glitz and glamour but I think she's off to a good start. To see more challenge cards, check out SPA. The image is from Rock Candy Studios' Girly Girls image CD. The card base is an old greeting card that has been lightly sanded.

Sunday Postcard Art - Nursery Rhymes

Sunday Postcard Art has nursery rhymes as the theme this week. This is my challenge piece. I had no idea that this is a nursery rhyme but found a list at http://www.zelo.com/family/nursery/ where there's many nursery rhymes I've never heard before. Check out the other challenge entries at SPA.

Art In The Round - The Three Muses Challenge

This week's art challenge at The Three Muses is "Art In The Round". I decided to play with backgrounds this week. I started with black cardstock and used the lip of a small bottle to stamp gesso circles in a random fashion. I left the first piece white and colored the second piece with chalks. Clear acrylic spray was used to set the chalk. Fun!
