Altered Shoe

Since being in an altered shoe swap last year, I ended up with an extra shoe.  So I decided this one had to be altered too. It was decorated using small bits of paper made in an Anne Bagby class.  The shoe began as a taupe color and I used a pink glaze over the surface once the papers were in place.  Three coats of  varnish were used for a very glossy finish.  The flower is handmade using painted muslin.  Fun!

Dang, Dianne! That looks hip and fine enough to wear! And an entire new purpose for those hot fabric flowers. Can't believe no one I've seen has latched onto clipping them for shoes...like in the old days? hehehe

Awesomely done, Dianne! xoxo
