Paper Bead Fun

I've been having fun making paper beads for my inventory.  I love to have these on hand for projects.  This is the first version I made.  They're coated in a high gloss varnish.
This is the second version and they've been grunged up a bit.  I'm really liking this look.  Which do you like best?

Make A Book, Save The World

This past weekend was the TennGRITS' art club retreat.  It's hard to believe that this was our 11th retreat and that we're finishing up our 11th year as a club.
I want to share one of the projects that was led by club member Alice Arterburn.   What began as a neat box for crackers made the perfect cover for a recycled notebook featuring the long stitch.  The cracker box came with the leaf cutout window--just perfect for this project.  The tiny leave stamp that can be seen through the window is from Claudia Rose.  Thanks Alice!
