Paper Bead Fun

I've been having fun making paper beads for my inventory.  I love to have these on hand for projects.  This is the first version I made.  They're coated in a high gloss varnish.
This is the second version and they've been grunged up a bit.  I'm really liking this look.  Which do you like best?

I like them both. Each look can be used for a different style of project... I love the colors of the first ones, very jewel like...but the grungy ones would look great with see shells or some other natural elements.

Hi Dianne! I LOVE your paper beads. I did this with my art club at school--
Art Goes Green but didn't get the nice shape you got. What did you wrap the paper around? We ended up with big holes at the end. The smaller ones are nicer!

I can't decide, Dianne...both are great and nice to have a choice when you need them. I enjoy making them and have used them in my jewelry on a couple of occasions, but have not made any to have 'on hand'. Great idea.
